Epoxy and Polyester

These powder coatings, composed of a blend of epoxy and polyester resins, are referred to as hybrid powder coatings. Hybrid coatings, which combine epoxy and polyester resins, are primarily used for interior applications and are designed to reach challenging areas like Faraday cages. These coatings are part of decorative powder coatings that have been developed and chemically enhanced for applications such as home appliances, radiators, and other heat-sensitive uses. Due to the epoxy content, hybrid powder coatings are not suitable for exterior use, making them ideal for interior conditions. Developed to provide both physical and chemical durability, they are an essential solution, particularly in indoor environments and the white goods industry. Additionally, they are used for coating products such as lighting systems, metal furniture, hospital equipment, fixtures, and shower enclosures. Although they have better heat and light resistance compared to epoxy-based coatings, their durability is lower than that of exterior polyester coatings. You can place your orders by phone. RAL colors are supplied within 5 business days. 80% of RAL colors are always in stock, and custom color requests can also be accommodated.

Epoxy Polyester Coatings: Application Areas

Epoxy polyester powder coatings are designed to provide a combination of functional and decorative properties, primarily for use on interior products. Their main application areas include household appliances, metal furniture, radiators, and some automotive parts. These coatings are recommended for interior accessories that require color and gloss durability. Epoxy polyester coatings can be used for coating all metal surfaces. Below, you can find detailed information about the application areas of our coating series.

Pre-Treatment Recommendations

For optimal performance, surfaces must be cleaned of oil, moisture, and dust before coating. The overall quality of the coating largely depends on the condition of the surface and the pre-treatment applied. The type of pre-treatment should be chosen according to the intended use of the material.

Curing Conditions

Curing temperatures range from 160°C to 200°C, depending on your system.

Application Equipment

These coatings can be applied using Corona electrostatic powder spray guns or Tribo spray guns.

Storage Conditions

Powder coatings should be stored in a dry and cool environment. The maximum temperature should be 25°C, and the maximum humidity should not exceed 60%. The shelf life of the coating is at least 12 months if stored between 5°C and 25°C.

Safety Information

When the powder concentration in the air is between 20 gr/m3 and 70 gr/m3, there is a fire hazard or the air may become conductive. Concentrations below 20 gr/m3 are considered low risk for fire, while concentrations above 70 gr/m3 pose a high risk. Adequate ventilation systems should be used to maintain safe air concentrations. All equipment should be maintained regularly, and equipment that comes into contact with powder should be cleaned to prevent accumulation.
